4WD Vehicle Access Permits
ALL WHEEL DRIVE / QUAD / MOTORBIKES NOT PERMITTED
All-wheel-drive vehicles, motor bikes and quad-bikes are not permitted on the Beach or in the Recreation Area.
Should you be found to have purchased a permit for such a vehicle, the permit will be confiscated and any fees paid will be forfeited.
Vehicle access permits can be purchased Online (click above links) or from Campground offices between 8am and 4pm 7 days.
Flinders Beach
4WD vehicles are permitted to drive between the Amity Point entrance and the Adder Rock entrance.
- Adder Rock entrance can be rough.
- Flinders Beach Drive entrance can be soft and rough.
- Amity Point entrance is frequently inaccessible due to tides and beach erosion.
- Beach may become impassible due to tidal and weather conditions.
- Do not drive on Flinders Beach 2 hours either side of high tide.
- All-wheel-drive vehicles, motor bikes and quad-bikes are not permitted in the Recreation Area. Should you be found with a permit affixed to an all-wheel-drive vehicle, the permit will be confiscated and any fees paid will be forfeited.
Speed limit on Flinders Beach is 40km/h
Main Beach
4WD vehicles are permitted to drive between the George Nothling Drive entrance and the southern end of the surf beach.
- George Nothling Drive entrance can be very soft and rough.
- Alfred Martin Way (Also known as The Causeway) can be very soft and rough.
- Beach may become impassible due to tidal and weather conditions.
- Do not drive on Main Beach 2 hours either side of high tide.
- All-wheel-drive vehicles, motor bikes and quad-bikes are not permitted in the Recreation Area. Should you be found with a permit affixed to an all-wheel-drive vehicle, the permit will be confiscated and any fees paid will be forfeited.
Speed limit on Main Beach is 60km/h
